Hello World
December 19, 2008Welcome to Existential Accounting, where accounting information is disseminated with witty commentary and insightful banter. Actually, it’s not. But let’s just close our eyes and pretend for a couple minutes.
A little about the blog: The name got its start when I was doing an accounting assignment and had a thought. “What if I could apply existentialism to accounting? Then I would never be wrong!” Granted, this laziness is probably what put me in my current position of unemployment, along with the timely tanking of the housing industry, but the seed had been planted.
The mission: This blog exists to fuel a movement to combine ideas of existentialism and accounting to make the world a better, happier, and more accepting place. My planned postings will address current accounting issues and suggest ways that existentialism can be added to the benefit of mankind in general.
About me: I’m a near-retarded accounting student who finished the undergrad coursework at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign (UIUC henceforth), and is now putzing around for a semester to rack up enough hours to take the CPA. Have an enlightened day!
